Financial technologies, particularly LendTech, have emerged in recent years as one of the most important instruments of transformation in the financing system and play a significant role in expanding access to credit services in emerging markets. The aim of this review article is to examine the challenges and opportunities of LendTech development in emerging markets, with emphasis on a process management approach and productivity improvement. In this regard, by analyzing previous studies and specialized reports, various dimensions of LendTech development, including digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, technological innovations, and the role of data in credit assessment, are examined. The findings of the studies indicate that LendTech can reduce operational costs and increase the speed and accuracy of decision-making in granting facilities by simplifying and digitalizing credit processes. The use of technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and algorithmic credit scoring enables the design of more efficient processes and increased productivity in financial institutions. However, emerging markets face challenges such as weak technological infrastructure, regulatory constraints, information security risks, and low levels of users' financial literacy, which can affect the sustainable development of this field. The results of this study indicate that utilizing a business process management approach in designing and improving LendTech operational models can help enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and increase financial access in emerging markets. Furthermore, effective interaction among financial institutions, FinTech startups, and policymaking institutions, alongside the development of digital infrastructure and flexible regulatory frameworks, are considered key factors in exploiting LendTech opportunities and overcoming existing challenges.
